Denholme Shared Church

Three Traditions One Faith

Thank you for seeking out our website. A brief history of the three Churches involved in the partnership is contained under the history tag.

The Bishop of Bradford Rt Revd Toby Howarth visited our Church in January 2016 and remarked how he could not tell who was from which tradition, Baptist, United Reformed or Church of England.  Simply put you cannot tell as we all worship as one and participate in services whether Anglican or Free Church. We count ourselves as blessed to have different backgrounds to draw upon on and have found that we might be from different denominations but our faith in Jesus Christ is strong.

In September 2016 we decided to try something different, offer two Sunday services instead of one.  We now have a service at 09.30 led by our Worship team, (Chris Wilcock, Rob Priestley and Janice Le Blancq).  These services are for anyone, young and old. Refreshments are provided throughout the service along with activities for children. If you are looking for something different, a fresh expression of your faith or would like to explore Church in a different format we would love to see you there.

At 11.15 we offer a more tradition service, and as we are a Shared Church we offer two services a month from the Anglican tradition and two Sundays a month from the Free Church tradition.  Please see the calendar for more information on individual Sunday services. Again we extend a warm welcome to anyone wanting to join any of our services.
